We saw a $127 billion industry with an image problem,
and decided to change it.

GCI was founded based on the insight that consumers feel the $127B gift card industry lacks warmth and personalization. It is often viewed as a last minute gift of convenience.

Through countless research projects, we established our expertise in understanding the dynamics between communications and gifting that occur around key events throughout the year. Our team has since expanded its capabilities to provide digital and physical solutions that dramatically improve communications by creating more meaningful engagement. Through significantly investing in technology and engineering to improve the level of engagement when celebrating an occasion, we created a comprehensive approach to inventing new, innovative solutions.

In the physical world, GCI developed uniquely engineered packaging solutions to improve the presentation of a Gift Card. With 84% of consumers placing a gift card into some type of packaging before giving to the recipient, this market was underserved and lacked quality and innovation. GCI has been awarded more than 50 patents with dozens pending, for the unique techniques used to provide best-in-class packaging.

Our innovative packaging is available at most major retail stores and for the majority of leading brands offering gift cards.

In the Digital world, GCI invented a technology platform to create multi-media communication experiences that are a significant improvement over yesterday’s traditional email or text message. These engaging techniques add in-depth personalization and allow a scalable system for improving the loyalty and engagement desired by retailers, brands and corporations. The system integrates smoothly into existing platforms to allow broad data inputs. It also integrates into gift card transaction platforms to deliver gift cards, rewards and incentives when desired. GCI has received numerous awards, patents and trademarks and expects to share its extensive research and capabilities collaboratively with its partners to establish the next generation of engaging communications and gifting.

GCI’s success is greatly attributed to the top level of talent it has been fortunate to obtain with backgrounds ranging in technology, top CPG companies and agency creative.
